Julie Valentine Center provides free confidential services and resources regardless of race, color, creed, age, sex, sexual orientation, disabilities, genetic information, gender identity and expression, religion, national origin or veteran's status to support victims of sexual assault, incest, child abuse and neglect in Greenville County, South Carolina. Services are provided for children and families through the center’s nationally accredited Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC). The Center provides a child and family friendly environment that promotes a multidisciplinary approach to assessment, intervention and treatment of child abuse and other related trauma. The Center provides free forensic medical exams, forensic interviews, individual and family therapy, support groups, and intensive case management for non-offending caregivers. Through education and awareness, JVC works to increase knowledge and dispel misconceptions about sexual assault and child abuse so survivors can reduce trauma, begin healing, and reestablish safety in their lives. |
