Child Services

Forensic Interviews

Forensic interviews  are child friendly, developmentally sensitive interviews done at the request of DSS or Law Enforcement. These structured, recorded interviews are designed to gather information when there are concerns of possible abuse or when the child has witnessed violence against another person.

Medical Exams

We are proud to partner with The Greenville Health System to provide forensic medical exams conducted by child abuse pediatricians. If a child was assaulted within the past 72 hours, or has current physical injuries or complaints, there may be a need for the child to have an acute examination at Greenville Memorial Hospital. If the abuse incident occurred more than 72 hours ago, or there are no current injuries or complaints, then the child may be referred for a forensic medical exam.
